The title "NACDD's Bridging Aging and Disability Network Impact" is displayed prominently in bold, stylized font across the center, emphasizing the connection between aging and disability networks. Subtle lines and dots in the background suggest a network or connectivity theme.

In Fiscal Year 2022, the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) was awarded a five-year cooperative agreement made available by the Administration for Community Living at the United States Department of Health and Human Services to support improved resource and service coordination among aging and disability systems. The “Bridging Aging & Disability Networks Initiative” is a national Community of Practice (CoP) of seventeen (17) state alliance teams (SATs) focused on improving aging services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) and their aging family members. The participating BADN CoP States grants and technical assistance were made available by the Administration for Community Living (ACL) within the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

BADN Videos

The following videos have been developed with support from the Bridging Aging & Disability Networks (BADN) Initiative and cover a variety of key topics facing individuals with IDD and their families trying to navigate state aging and DD systems.

National Resources & Publications

Several national entities in academia, research, and practice have provided technical assistance to the seventeen state alliance teams participating in the BADN. The following resources, programs, and training initiatives have been used among several states, both inside and outside the BADN, and may benefit other future state systems-change efforts to improve access to high-quality services within state aging and disability networks for both aging individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their family members.
