On behalf of the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), we are proud to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) this October. NDEAM is an important time to recognize and honor the significant contributions that disabled workers make to our economy and communities. It also serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing work needed to create inclusive workplaces that support and empower individuals with disabilities.
This year’s theme, “Access to Good Jobs for All,” perfectly captures the essence of what we strive to achieve. At NACDD, we believe that access to quality employment should be a fundamental right for everyone, regardless of ability. Ensuring that disabled workers have access to good jobs is not just a goal for October, but a commitment we uphold every month of the year.
We remain dedicated to advocating for policies and practices that promote inclusive employment opportunities for all individuals with disabilities. By working together, we can build a future where everyone has the chance to thrive in meaningful, rewarding careers.
