The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) commemorates Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month (JDAIM). JDAIM represents a collaborative initiative involving Jewish and disability organizations globally, aimed at raising awareness and promoting acceptance and inclusion for individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, and their supportive communities.
Established in 2009 by the Jewish Special Education International Consortium, JDAIM strives to enhance awareness and advocate for inclusion for those with disabilities and special needs. Recognizing that individuals with disabilities constitute the world’s largest minority group, JDAIM serves as a collective call to action for all of us to align our actions with Jewish values, valuing and celebrating the unique gifts and strengths inherent in everyone.
