NACDD is a national organization that supports full inclusion in the community for people with developmental disabilities (I/DD). NACDD recognizes that people with I/DD are diverse. They come from many different backgrounds.

We are committed to the values of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) and we are committed to providing a welcoming environment with opportunities for engagement at all levels regardless of a person’s ability, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, religious beliefs, type of job they have or work they do – or do not do, or how much money they earn, and their values and beliefs.

NACDD’s Board of Directors and national office staff are committed to intentionality and action regarding DEIA and view DEIA as critical to our success as a national organization.

We recognize that the work we must do to be truly inclusive is hard and at times we will make mistakes and take steps backward and at other times we will take great leaps forward. Together with our Board of Directors, staff, and members we will continue to right any wrongs and to move intentionally to be more inclusive.

We are committed to “Nothing About Us Without Us”.

We are committed to having a diverse leadership and staff.

We are committed to ensuring our policies, procedures, and practices are equitable and inclusive.

We are committed to partnering and working with others who share our values of full inclusion and respect for all people.
