The 2017 AIDD Technical Assistance Institute will focus on three important topics critical to the work Councils do. Key agenda items include: Reporting and Outcomes, Diversity, Inclusion, Cultural and Linguistic Competence, and Self-advocacy. Each topic will feature general and concurrent sessions for in-depth knowledge development, skill building, and strategy development among Councils. The opening and closing keynote sessions feature a leadership development expert that will encourage, motivate, and provide insights into how individuals can lead from their respective roles during times of change. Information shared through the 2017 AIDD Technical Assistance Institute will provide a critical foundation not only for helping Councils meet the reporting requirements of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000, but will lead to better overall outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
TA Institute will take place July 11-12 at the Hotel RL in Salt Lake City, Utah. To register, please visit https://nacdd2017.eventbrite.com.
